Who we are
This website is operated by SH System Engineering (“we”, “us”, “our”), a manufacturer, importer and exporter of welding machinery and industrial equipment, with its head office at C-1-35, Sector L-1, Surjani Town, Industrial Area, Karachi 75850, Pakistan.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to do business with you:
- Enquiry details — your name, company, email address, telephone number and the content of your message, including any drawings, photographs or specifications you send us.
- Order and account details — billing and delivery addresses, purchase order references, and the equipment and serial numbers we have supplied or serviced for you.
- Service records — machine history, parameters logged during visits and correspondence relating to warranty or repair claims.
- Technical data — standard web server information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically when you use this site.
How we use it
- Responding to your enquiry and preparing quotations
- Processing, delivering and invoicing orders
- Providing installation, maintenance, warranty and spare parts support
- Keeping a service history for equipment we have supplied or repaired
- Meeting our legal, tax, export and record-keeping obligations
- Improving this website and the information we publish on it
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not carry out profiling.
Legal basis
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering into one; our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business; and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent — for example for marketing email — you may withdraw it at any time.
Sharing with third parties
We share your information only where it is necessary:
- With our offices in Germany and Japan, where they are sourcing or inspecting equipment for your order
- With original equipment manufacturers, when processing a warranty claim or ordering a specific spare part on your behalf
- With shipping agents, freight forwarders and customs brokers, to deliver your order
- With our hosting, email and IT service providers, who process data on our instructions only
- With professional advisers or authorities, where we are required to do so by law
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Because we operate internationally, your information may be transferred outside Pakistan — where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and may use analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful to visitors. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off without affecting how the site works.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are normally kept for up to two years. Order, invoice and service records are kept for as long as we support the equipment and for any period required by tax, warranty and statutory record-keeping rules, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send commercially sensitive drawings by email if you would prefer they were couriered.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete information we no longer need, restrict or object to certain uses, or withdraw consent you have given. Write to us using the details below and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Children
This is a business-to-business website. Our products and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
