Our story

A trusted provider of welding technology and electronic solutions

Our roots go back to 1968, when M/S. AFAQ BROS began manufacturing welding machines and equipment — becoming Pakistan’s oldest and most experienced name in the field. SH System Engineering carries that work forward, specialising in electrical heating upsetter machines, resistance welding plant and the accessories that surround them.

The reputation we hold in the market was not built on a single product. It came from continuous research and development, and from sustained support from the industrial sector over many years — customers who told us what was failing on the shop floor, and returned when we fixed it.

Today S.H.S is recognised across Pakistan’s automobile and engineering industry as a reliable manufacturer, importer, indenter and supplier of both new and used machinery, with particular confidence earned in automotive maintenance work.

Our journey

From a Karachi workshop to three countries

1968 — The foundation

M/S. AFAQ BROS is established in Karachi and begins manufacturing welding machines and equipment, growing into Pakistan’s oldest and most experienced producer in the field.

Into resistance welding

The product line widens from electrical heating upsetter machines into a full resistance welding range — spot, projection, seam, butt and rocker arm — along with the transformers and guns that drive them.

SH System Engineering is formed

A sister firm is created to combine manufacturing with a formal import and indenting operation, giving customers a single source for machinery, automation and consumables.

International recognition

Membership of The American Welding Society (AWS), USA, is secured, and an authorised distributorship for Nadex welding timer controllers from Japan is established.

Today — Karachi, Stuttgart, Gifu

Offices in Pakistan, Germany and Japan let us source, inspect and ship equipment directly, while local manufacturing and 24/7 technical support continue from Karachi.
